FOTEK Solid State Relay (SSR) is an electronic switching device that switches on or off when an external voltage (AC or DC) is applied across its control terminals. It serves the same function as an electromechanical relay, but has no moving parts and therefore results in a longer operational lifetime.

The Solid State Relay (SSR) output is activated immediately after applying control voltage. Consequently, this relay can turn on anywhere along the AC sinusoidal voltage curve. Response times can typically be as low as 1 ms. The Solid State Relay (SSR) is particularly suitable in application where a fast response time is desired, such as solenoids or coils.
